LT Power Cable

An assembly of one or more electrical conductors held together with an overall sheath is known as LT power cables. This assembly is used for electrical power transmission and distribution purpose.

Noble INF. International Pvt Ltd. has established a firm reputation in India’s PVC & PE Cable Industry. Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) is known to be as a thermosetting compound. It softens at the crystal melting point of polyethylene (85°C to 115°C) and becomes an elastic rubber-like consistency, and retains this property until the temperature rise to 250°C to 300°C.

These cables are designed and manufactured as per current, voltage, operating maximum temperature and purpose of applications desired by a customer.

Description
Parts of LT Power Cable:

You are given a choice to choose from different types of LT power cables. The basic and compulsory parts of power cables are as follow:

Conductor
  • The conductor is the material which carries current. It can be of different materials (Aluminum/Copper).
  • In the cable industry, it is preferred to use copper and aluminium conductors for LT power cables.
  • Conductors in these cables can be Stranded/ Solid/ Circular shaped-Aluminum/ Copper.
Insulator
  • The sheath is basically a cover which protects the power cable. The material used in the sheath is polyvinyl chloride (PVC), rubber and often the same material as the bedding (tinned copper wire which acts as mechanical protection too).
  • The main work of sheath is to protect the cables from mechanical, climatic, electrical and chemical.
  • The outer sheath is protection offered to cable not much electrically but more mechanically.
  • Besides these, LT power cable has other parts too, which are armouring and beading (inner sheath).
Application:

LT power cable may be installed as permanent wiring within buildings, run overhead, buried in the ground or exposed. Flexible power cables are used in mobile tools, portable devices, and machinery.

Features:

PVC/XLPE insulation is responsible for the fire-resistant feature.
Besides, it has many features as below:

  • Dielectric losses are very less in these cables.
  • LT power cable is flexible, lightweight, fire-resistant in nature.
  • These cables can carry high current with high short circuit rating 250°C as against 160°C for PVC.

HT Power Cables

HT Power Cables with PVC or XLPE insulation of voltage grade upto 3.3 kv conforming TO VARIOUS Indian and International Standard Specifications.

HT XLPE cable i.e. cross linked poly-ethylene insulated cables which offer on extra ordinary strength to with stand high voltages are used as HT (High tension cables) for underground voltage transmission systems these cables have in place of overhead transmission. These XLPE insulated cables have better electrical, mechanical thermal properties along with its light weight features.

Fire Survival Cables

Fire Survival Cables are useful for continuous operation in the presence of high temperature, mechanical shock and water spray.These cables are used in circuits to maintain their integrity during a fire.

In general, the main application of fire survival cables is in fire alarm systems. But, now fire survival cables are being used for fire safety. The quality to stand against fire is because of XLPE cover.

XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene) can work for a longer period without getting. Fire survival cables do not produce hazardous gasses and smog, which can affect you badly. As a number of people injured because of smog that comes out of cables.

Description
Parts of Fire Survival Cables:

Conductor
Conductor usually conducts the flow of electricity or signals within cables. Conductors can be of Aluminum/Copper.
Our range of fire survival cables is made using copper/aluminum conductors.

Insulator
An insulator is the part of the cable which covers the conductor so that current won’t come out and create any electric fault. Insulators can be a wire (color) or any insulated material.
These cables usually bear a PVC/XLPE insulation that protects them from impacts and harsh climatic conditions.

Sheath
The sheath is an outer cover, which protects the wire from external damage. If in case, current passes from insulated material, Sheath is responsible for controlling the current in that case.

Flexible Multicore Cable

Flexible multicore cable are cables designed to work inside cable carriers against physical stress and tight bending area which is directly associated with application in moving state.The introduction of flexible multicore cables first came into existence in the automation industry in the 1980s. As at that time the cables were not able to stand against increasing loads, and cables which were inside the cable carriers were failing regularly.The service life of these cables is long because of the higher level of flexibility cable. Thermocouple Extension/ Compensating Cables Thermocouple Extension/ Compensating Cables

These cables can also be termed as instrumentation cables, since they are used for process temperature measurement. The construction is similar to paired instrumentation cable but the conductor material is different. Thermocouple is used in processes to sense temperature and is connected to the pyrometers for indication and control. The thermocouple and pyrometers are electrically connnected by Thermocouple extension/Compensating Cables. The conductors used for these cables are required to have similar thermoelectric (emf) properties as that to the thermocouple used for sensing the temperature. The cables are manufactured as per IS:8784, ANSI-96.1, BS, DIN and customers specification.
